The Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Sudan is one of the youngest Churches in the continent of Africa. Previously the work of the Church in Sudan was administered from the Middle East Union under the European Division. However, when South Sudan became an independent Country on 9th July 2011 the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists thought it wise to realign the work in South Sudan under the East-Central Africa Division (ECD). Since January 2012 the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Sudan enjoys the fellowship of her brothers and sisters in the ECD territory. God has blessed and the work in South Sudan flourished. We welcome you to take a tour of our website to see for yourself the amazing work God is doing in South Sudan through the Seventh-day Adventist Church and we invite you to be a part.
The history of the work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is South Sudan is not an ancient one. The narrative varies from person to person. However, one thing is clear.
